More Pictures

...from the Tarallo family archives, enjoy! Where did everyone end up if not in NJ? Please log in and let us know! After college, I moved to Boston, where I met my husband Mike. I started working in banking, got my Masters, then got married. We live in North Andover and have 3 kids, Andrew (9), Nicholas (7), and Olivia (almost 3). Life is hectic (and just a little gray, Kevin!) but it's great, too.

If anyone is in the area, I'd love to see you! Amy is in NH so we can have a mini reunion. Look us up!!

Remember Me????

Hi Everyone,

I cannot believe the pictures. Good thing I finally found out about fashion somewhere down the line. This is Therese McKenna-Nahorski. I am in Eden Prairie, MN with my husband of 13 years and two children, Julia 12 and JohnLuke 7. I currently own my own Irish Dance School here-The McKenna School of Irish Dance. Yes, I am pushing 40 and can still dance, we'll see how long that goes.
I have been in constant contact with Peggy Carney and Nancy Rick for many many years. I loved looking at the RHS pictures. I still miss NJ alot and have fond, fond memories of all of you.
I'd love to hear from any of you. And will try to make the reunion, if it works with my dance schedule. Love to all and I hope that life has given you all many blessings.

Hellooooooo.....

...to my old Mt. Carmel friends! How cool is this that we have a blog, thanks Dominic! Well, following Peggy's lead, in the photo I am in the second row, all the way on the end on the right with the yellow pigtails - in front of my old pal ML Garde and my partner (for fire drills, First Communion, and anything else we had to line up for) Patrick Sweeney. I have great memories of everything about Mt. Carmel (or, well almost everything!) and can't wait to see everyone.

I can't believe it's been 25 years since we graduated, how scary is that? Here are some "memories" (some good, some bad) I have of those years, feel free to add to the list if you feel like it. (Thanks to my twin for contributing!)

officer kreegan and the little red schoolhouse
hot dog day
the talent shows
sister rita and the fear of god (literally)
those stylin' uniforms
the st. patrick's day assembly and all of those other assemblies
country fairs (and the maaaahhhhball game)
birthday spankings (social services anyone?)
baseball math
recess and the superballs
the dumpster incident
scoliosis checks
clapping erasers on the building
the 3rd grade detention because no one would admit to "it"
the presidential physical fitness award and hanging on that &*$% bar
kris kringles
bake sales
the 5th grade "films"
mr. eddy and mrs. travillion
mrs. ronai's book reports
ker bangers (not necessarily mt. carmel, we just couldn't have them at school)
field trips to Sleepy Hollow (soooooo memorable)
the school store and the itty bitty erasers
square dancing and scooter races in gym
wacky packages in fifth grade
sixth grade camp
for the girls: bonnie bell lip glosses in the green vest
father what-a-waste (you know who I'm talking about ladies)
striped tube socks, braces, plaid anything, and monogrammed sweaters
Mrs. Petrovsky and spanish classes
dancing to christopher cross at the eighth grade dance

I'll try to post some pictures I found if I can figure out how to do it and anything else funny that I might have saved from OLMC. Looking forward to October 6th!

Hello Everyone. I can't tell you how excited I am to know there is going to be a reunion! Thanks to all for making this a reality! A little about myself. I am married, living in Howell, NJ (15 min from Pt. Pleasant Beach) I have 2 boys, Thomas 5, and Timothy 4. My husbands name is Ralph. We met 10 years ago at the gym! We have been married 7 1/2 years! I am currently working in sales but as of Wed Aug 8th I will be leaving that job to stay home with my boys. I am truely excited yet I have to admit I have mixed emotions. If any one remembers my sister Kathy and brother Brian, Kathy Lives in Pensacola, FL and has 4 , (yes 4) kids, Her husband is a Navy Pilot. Brian is Living in East Brunswick, NJ. Married with 2 boys and he runs the Emergency Management Dept at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. I hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to see everyone. Does any one know who is definatly making the reunion? I thought the Reunion was set for OCt 9th but Dominic states in his blog Sept? Which is it?

Well better run. Feel free to email me at Pegster0512@msn.com.

Peggy

P.S- In the picture, I am standing in the 2nd row down from the top, 3rd person in from the left.

Dominic, Dominic, Dominic, Dominic, Choo-Choo!

(How old am I/are we??) How the heck are ya???

You are a riot - I loved hearing your news through Gina. I think that Mrs. Brennan was our favorite teacher, too (doesn't that seem like only yesterday?) So, get this: I mentioned to our Mom today that your blog made me laugh so hard I was crying, especially the expulsion letter and the part when you blamed Matt. I didn't even remember that you got expelled? But Mom did and said, "you know, I think it WAS Matt McCooe's fault."

Hope to hear news from everyone else soon. If anyone is up in NH, you have a place to stay.
Amy Tarallo :-)

PS I still have some of those report cards too...scary.

3rd Grade Report Card

So this is my report card from third grade. Note the soul-crushing commentary by Sister Mary Fallon. Not that I didn't deserve it or anything. I was in the office at least once a week, and missed every single Monday for about two months that year, so much so that my mom took me to Valley to see if I had a stomach condition.

Patrick Sweeney's B-day 1976

This is Patrick Sweeney's birthday circa 2nd grade. That's me on the left. I also see Gerard, John Gray, John Powers, and maybe Joel Brouhle.

St. Pat's Assembly 1978

Here's a link to an audio file with the st. patrick's day assembly in 1978.
I found this tape ripped in my tape collection. there's some Star Wars overwritten onto part of it. The only thing that saved it is the fact that part of it was eaten by a tape recorder some time in 1979. It lay unusable in my attic until a few weeks ago. But it's friggin brilliant. Hit the link below, download the file and you can play it on windows media player.

Once you log on, you will be able to start posting entries to this blog. Have fun. This is all in anticipation of the reunion in September {woops October 9}, but maybe we can keep this blog going for many years to come.
